To All Of Our Patrons, Sponsors and Supporters,
I can’t thank you enough on behalf of 33 charities that benefit from the 2011 Fleetwood Country Cruizein. The office work is finally done and the results are in. This one was a monster with a gross revenue of $595,000 contributed by 25,000 people over two days. 11,000 spectator and show cars, 91 motor homes and 80 vendors all passed through the gates. We have eaten 4,000 burgers and over a ton of french fries. 3,300 of us burned the calories off rocking to the Beach Boys and 1,750 gained it all back at the Lighthouse dinner show. The outstanding Team Farmall (square dancing tractors) kept us focused and the amphi cars are such crowd pleasers each year. All of our celebrities are so wonderfully supportive of this event. George Barris, Bo Hopkins, Candy Clark, and Gene Winfield are such great friends and are always welcome. The spin off benefits to our community are huge. The hotels, restaurants, gas stations and, of course, Tim Horton’s, enjoy new visitors from all over North America. London is put in the media spotlight all over Canada and the US. This year, I was told it was on the Chicago, Vancouver and Calgary nightly news.
Once again, a big thank you to all of our supporters who have helped generate $1,924,000 in revenue from only 6 shows.
All The Best and Thank You,
Steve Plunkett |
